Let's Talk Snow - We asked God for .
Ode to Snow - go away - enough is too much. Especially with a low down snowblower. 
Snow is the son of the day week month. We have had roughly 60 inches in the past 30 days - way way WAAAYYpast normal. Our driveway is a strong bulwark of c on both sides, both towering over my head. No telling what is buried underneath it all. 
Our poor little pups ventured only a few feet from the door, sniff, do their thing, then scoot back in to the passion of the interior fires.

News from the Hughes: Snow Days
The most recent winter storm came at a convenient time because we have been sick! Ethan had a sinus infection and now I have Strep throat.
We didn't get as much snow as we did on Christmas Day, and the ice has been more dangerous this time round so schools have been closed all week!
Hannah really wanted to pass in the blow the early day, so we bundled up both kids and let them walk round the floor a small bit.

Observations about snow might appear a little naive to some. I'm not unfamiliar with it, afterall. But it has been a while since we've had snow to return and stay, so let me a little ramble.
Snow changes things. Stepping outside in the night to take Mollie outside, you reflexively look up because the faint reflection is different.

Ever since I caught a glance of this adorable Santa Party Mix(I LOVE cookies and cups!), I wanted to gain my own. I even tracked down the caramel Bugles(actually my daughter found them for me). Stockholm Syndrome features three of my favorite musicians, bassist Dave Schools from Widespread Panic lead singer/songwriter Jerry Joseph from the Jackmormans, and guitar axe wizard Eric McFadden from The P-Funk All Stars. Rounding out the mix are Danny Louis from Gov`t Mule on keys and drummer Wally Ingram. This is an true All Star band, with easily 100 days of playing music between the guys.
If you like night and dirty music then Stockholm Syndrome will be right up your alley. Jerry and Dave write songs with love and have battled addiction over the years. The lyrics are honest, real and sometimes just in your look with grit. For fans hoping to see "Schools" play Widespread Panic songs, please save that for Panic shows. This is a different beast all together..

The chances for accumulating snow in Central Maryland late Monday and Tuesday have inched upward a bit, now set at 70 percent for Tuesday, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service.

It snowed here New Year's Day. Not that we saw any of it; it was gone bythe time the kids and I got up and we had to swear on Chas for the info.But Chas said there was half an edge on his car that had to be removedbefore he drove off in the predawn darkness.
