Bradford City's Boxing Day clash with League Two leaders Chesterfield is already off the schedule with York City's Blue Square Premier clash with Gateshead likely to follow suit.
The Bantams announced yesterday that Sunday's eagerly-awaited fixture had been postponed due to a fixed pitch with no date yet named for the re-arranged fixture. It means City must wait until Tuesday's trip to Cheltenham to get back on the slope and it looks odds-on to be a similar level for York whose Sunday clash at home to Gateshead faces a Christmas Eve pitch inspection with City admitting that the friction is "unbelievable" to go ahead.York, too, will so be second in action on Tuesday at Altrincham but the Minstermen have missed the services of popular French defender Djoumin Sangare who has left the society to join Moroccan side Casablanca.York boss Gary Mills was sad to read of his departure, admitting: "I was in the process of offering him a new contract. "It's a sad day for the club, but that's football."
