Have you ever built a snowman
Snowman tried to understand strain?
Of sight the frozen stacked canned drain
His body his black coal eyes his colt
Noose starring at your blind holt
Time cause you ever huff?
Snowman holding his looked rebuff
Head hoping he might awaken and spake
Friend poliomyelitis bake
I know the word `friend poliomyelitis bake.` An advance on the poem overall? After reading the robo version out loud I consider it is. Check out the rhyming couplets- I must have clicked on rhyme as an option.
your face frozen
the sky twirling
with white flakes
of infinite variety?
Have you always spoken to a snowman
tried to see his head of view
the frozen stacked lumps of his body
his black coal eyes
his bent carrot nose
Have you ever kissed a snowman
holding his sparkling jeweled head
hoping he might waken
and be your friend forever?
The Poet At Work (new segment)
I wrote `Snowman` in January 2009 for children. The romantic simplicity of the poem is appealing while at the same time nauseating to me. It attempts to evoke memories of childhood experiences but ends on a sour note: why would I wish to be friends with a ball of snow?
The poem was never submitted. More interestingly, I fed the poem though Robopoem http://bot.robopoem.com/ and the next is the result:
Snowman
Snowman have you ever spate?
Snowman your face millpond allocate
Twirling with white flakes of midway
You always spoken chat driveway
Snowman your face millpond allocate
Twirling with white flakes of midway
You always spoken chat driveway
Snowman tried to understand strain?
Of sight the frozen stacked canned drain
His body his black coal eyes his colt
Noose starring at your blind holt
Time cause you ever huff?
Snowman holding his looked rebuff
Head hoping he might awaken and spake
Friend poliomyelitis bake
