Leeds cold-car thieves strike in the snow - Latest News .

Police are urging motorists to be leery of opportunist car thieves during the cold snap after three 'frost jacking' incidents in Leeds.

Three cars were stolen this week from outside owners' homes after they started the engines to de-ice them and left their vehicles unattended.

A black Ford Fiesta, registration YF56 OLA, was stolen from Croft Street, Farsley, after the owner left the engine running outside his family at approximately 12 midday on Tuesday.

Ambulance service response times hit by snow . - Evening Telegraph

East Midlands Ambulance service made it to barely half its emergency calls on time during the late cold snap.

With the area blanketed by heavy blow in the week ending December 5, the service attended just 53.4 per cent of its most serious 999 calls within the eight-minute target time.

The bank said the extreme weather was the ground can the decrease in figures, which had been as eminent as 77 per cent during November.
